History

The Department of Power Engineering was established in July, 2000. It was headed by M.Medykovskyy, Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD), assistant professor. Since January 2002 the Department is headed by V. Boyarchuk, Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD), assistant professor.

Scientific and methodological work

German and Ukrainian consortium “Renewable Power Engineering of Lviv National Agrarian University – Avrora Wind power” was established in 2005.

Conducting of International Scientific and Practical Conference “Resource-saving and using of renewable power sources is a priority line of the development of AIC” started in 2009.

The subject of scientific research of the Department of Power Engineering is to work out the theoretical principles and means of renewable energy and power-saving.
