Council of Young Scientists

The Council of young scientists of Lviv National Agrarian University functions according to the Regulations of both the University and the Council of young scientists as well as the individual plans of young researchers paraphed by the Academic Council of the University.

The  Council of young scientists of  LNAU is set to coordinate the young persons before 35 (scholars, lecturers, workers and students) in preparing  and holding summary conferences of young scholars and students, promoting their academic publications and participations in the domestic and international exhibitions, competitions, olympiades and advanced training abroad.

One of the principal items of the University   Council of young scientists is their active participation in various scientific conferences.

Young scholars and students of the University regularly participate in scientific conferences (the international ones included) held both in our University and anywhere  else in Ukraine and abroad.

Within 2010 218 young researchers participated in 87 scientific conferences (38 international ones included). In the previous 2009 192 of them participated in 81 scientific conferences ( 36 international ones included) . In 2010 969 students of the University took part in 38 students conferences (23 international ones included). In the previous 2009 920 students participated in 43 scientific conferences (23 international ones included).

In 2001 Lviv National Agrarian University initiated the tradition of holding  the annual International students conference “Students youth and  scientific progress in agribusiness” focused at the  problems of  agricultural production and functions of youth in their solving.

Traditionally, the conference embraces a big group of young researchers and witnesses their enthusiasm  in solving vital problems of agricultural production. In addition , such scientific forum may illustrate the role of such gatherings in improving the research skills of the students of agricultural qualification.

On  September, 22-24 , 2010, the university accepted the participants of the last International students scientific forum “Students youth and  scientific progress in agribusiness”. Generally, the University held 7 conferences with 556 participants, in particular from: Lviv National Agrarian University (510), V. Hetman National Economic University of Kyiv (2), Kyiv National University of Building and Architecture  (2),  Kyiv National University of Bioresources and Management of Nature of Ukraine (6), Lviv State Financial Academy (5), Lviv University of Life Safety (2), Lviv Academy of  Arts (2), National University “Lviv Politechnica” (4), Lviv Academy of Commerce (2), The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (2), Institute of Building and Environmental Engineering (2), Rzeszow higher School of Engineering and Economics (4), the H.Kallataj Agricultural University of Krakow (2), P.Vasylenko National Agricultural Technical University of Krakiv (1), Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University (2), Tlumach College of LNAU (1), Vyshnia College of LNAU (2), Horokhiv College of LNAU (1), Ivano-Frankivsk College of LNAU (1). 413 students reported at the conferences; 21 of them were awarded with honorary diplomas and 30 ones with charters of honor. The results of the students’ research activities presented at the conferences are published in several conference symposia.

The Council of young scientists holds annual summary conferences of post-graduates and fellows of the University. On February, 23-25 2010 the last conference of this type was held in LNAU representing the ideas of 52 post-graduates and 55 fellows.

The results of students’ scientific activities are presented at the summary students scientific conferences. On April, 13-15, 2010, such conference was held in LNAU. Its work was divided into 5 sectors, according to the University’s Faculties, in particular: Agrotechnology and Ecology (11), Building and Architecture (12), Land Management (11), Economics (15), Mechanics and Energetics (16).
