History

Department of Land Resource Management of Lviv National Agrarian University was established in 1999. The Department is headed by Doctor of Economics (PhD), academician of AESU, AHE of Ukraine Sokhnych A.Ya. The Department has developed new direction in the system of land resource management.

The Department investigates issue of resource efficiency of land use. They make agreements on cooperation with scientific establishments, firms, enterprises. Scientific subject of the Department is “Development of scientific and methodological fundamentals of land resource management in Ukraine”

The Department provides training of the following subjects:

-         Land Resource Management

-         Management of Nature

-         Staff  Management in System of Land Tenure

-         Land Monitoring

-         Land Use Forecasting

-         Planning of Land Use

-         Recultivation of  Broken Land Basing on Mine-Surveying

-         Methods of Scientific Research

-         Metrology and Standardization

The Department makes research of new effective forms and methods of students training taking into account requirements of the Bologna process.
